Distance access on the Web to archival ressources at the Centre du patrimoine is strongly encouraged and facilitated. In this way archives become more widely accessible and the promotion of archives is much more efficient. By this access reserchers have the means to better prepare their visit to the archives, become more efficient in their research and in some cases can even view the records directly on line.

Visitors to the Web site can copy Web pages for their personal use only. They may not publish or reproduce in any way significant excerpts taken form these pages, either by copying them electronically by downloading them or by giving acccess to them on the Internet or by any other local or international computer assisted trading system without having first obtained written authorization from the Société historique de Saint-Boniface.

Any copying must be made in compliance with the Copyright legislation in effect. The onus is on the user to obtain the necessary permissions from copyright holders.

The source of the document must be referenced every time a document from the Société historique de saint-Boniface or the Centre du patrimoine is copied or published. Any manipulation, modification or other changes, electronically or otherwise, to a document is totally unauthorized.
